FROM TRAGEDY TO TRIUNPH!
THE OUTRAGEOUS CAKES® JOURNEY
Outrageous Cakes® established in 2010
Outrageous Cakes® began with a deeply personal journey years ago in 2008, when Kim, who was expecting a baby girl, faced the heartbreaking loss of losing her daughter. In the midst of grief and depression, her husband encouraged her to enroll in cake decorating classes as a way to cope. Her instructor quickly recognized her natural talent and took her under her wing, sharing decades of experience. With that support, Kim discovered a passion for cake artistry. She started making cakes for family and friends on the side, all while working a full-time job as a preschool teacher. However, after losing her daughter, she found it too difficult to continue in that role and decided to take some time off. After a few months she began working at a very popular local bakery, gaining even more hands-on experience throughout the years as she continued to perfect her talent. Before long, her hobby began to grow into a business, laying the foundation for what would become Outrageous Cakes®. What began as a way to heal became a business built in honor of her daughter, whose memory continues to inspire every cake we create with love.

HOW TO ORDER A CUSTOM CAKE
We believe that ordering a custom cake should be simple, clear, and enjoyable. Here's how we make the process smooth and easy from start to finish.
STEP 1 - Submit a contact form
To get started, fill out our contact form. You'll be asked to provide basic contact information, event details, like date, time and location , and a description of your desired cake design. If you have inspiration images, we encourage you to include them.
STEP 2 - QUOTE AND PHONE CONSULTATION (IF NEEDED)
After receiving your form we will reach out to you to confirm the detail and to schedule a quick phone consultation if needed.
Once everything is confirmed, you'll receive a quote via email. If you wish to move forward with the order we will send a secure link to pay a 50% deposit, which secures your spot on our calendar.
STEP 3 - CAKE DESIGN & PREPARATION
Once your order has been confirmed and your payment has been received our team will begin the design and preparation process.
Every custom cake is made with careful attention to detail, from baking to decorating, to ensure it reflects your vision.
STEP 4 - DELIVERY TO YOUR EVENT
Once your order is complete, we'll deliver it directly to your event location anywhere in the Tampa Bay area. Delivery is also available for our other sweet treats like cupcakes, cake pops, decorated cookies and more. We take great care to ensure every item arrives fresh, secure, and on time for your celebration.
